Quality and innovative technology with its history of over a century

Since our founding, we have set the technological direction, shaping the emergence of a wide variety of industries. It is not only this that makes us a recognized global business player with more than a century of tradition. The subsidiary MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC AUTOMOTIVE CZECH opened its plant in Slany in 2000.

MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC AUTOMOTIVE CZECH s.r.o., with its registered office at Slaný, Politických vězňů 1564, Kladno District, Czech Republic, Postal Code 274 01, Company ID 26185822, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, Section C, File 77952 (hereinafter referred to as the "Controlled Entity"). MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC AUTOMOTIVE CZECH s.r.o. is subject to unified management by MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC CORPORATION, with its registered office at 7-3, Marunouchi 2-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan, registration number: 0100-01-008772 (hereinafter referred to as the "Controlling Entity"). The Controlling Entity holds a 90% stake in the Controlled Entity. Together with MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC AUTOMOTIVE CZECH s.r.o., the Controlling Entity forms a concern with the companies listed in the most recent report on relationships between connected entities (filed in the collection of documents of the Commercial Register at the Controlled Entity), and these companies are subject to unified management by the Controlling Entity.

Over twenty years of success on the czech market

In June 2000, MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC AUTOMOTIVE CZECH s.r..o. (MEAC), a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric, was established in Slany. We have been a significant player in the automotive industry on the czech market for more than 20 years. We currently employ over 900 people of various nationalities in our four production halls and are constantly growing.

From our plant in Slany, we supply the entire European automotive market with electrical rotating and electronic components. MEAC's strategic location in the heart of Europe gives us a significant distribution advantage.

A new era of manufacturing - moving away from conventional combustion engines to electric engines

In the beginning, our products included the alternator, starter, electric power steering and electronic control units for electric power steering and internal combustion engine control.

In 2021, we completed the construction of new production halls. Our employees are manufacturing a completely new product in these facilities - the integrated starter generator (ISG), which is a key product for us today, given the ongoing market changes. The innovative ISG design provide a product with significantly lower emissions, higher efficiency, allowing the use of lighter engines and their quiet start.

Our new assembly lines are in line with current Industry 4.0 trends. We have state-of-the-art technologies that we use in laser welding, X-ray inspection, magnetization, copper oxide reduction by plasma and many other areas. Our lines are fully robotized and automated.

We are taking care of employees not only in times of production expansion

In order to meet our customer commitments, three shifts will run continuously from April 2023 in the production of electric motors for hybrid drive. Due to the wide range of activities and the three-shift operation, this naturally increases the demands on employee care. Employees are a top priority for us, and we strive to balance work and private life not only by offering a competitive pay environment, but also by offering a wide range of company benefits.

Inspiring future generations

Mitsubishi Electric annually renews its partnership with secondary industrial schools in the Kladno region. Professional excursions are regularly held here, during which students of local schools get acquainted with the operation of our production and warehouses as well as modern technologies we use.

This cooperation is not only symbolic, but also mutually beneficial. Students gain valuable practical experience and learn about modern technologies. We, in turn, see in reaching out to students the career potential and the opportunity to participate in the future technological growth of the company.

Our history

The story of Mitsubishi began in 1870. That's when the ambitious Yataro Iwasaki had the idea to establish a transport company in Osaka. He started with three rented steamers, but his tenacity quickly brought the company to successful numbers.

In the years that followed, Mitsubishi grew so much that it became a respected multinational in many industries. Through acquisitions and growth, new businesses were created in the mining industry, shipbuilding, banking and real estate.

In 1921, the Mitsubishi Electric Corporation was created by separating the electrical equipment division for ships. It gradually became a leading global player in the field of High-Tech, which became the engine of change in modern life.

For more than 100 years, we have been contributing to these changes with cutting-edge technology, innovation and high-quality products.

The diamond symbol

Our logo, composed of three diamonds, is directly related to our name. Mitsubishi really does mean "three diamonds". It is a combination of the words mitsu (three) and bishi (stone or diamond).

Like the Mitsubishi name, the products and services marked with the three diamond logo represent technological excellence and first-class quality worldwide.
